Scott has been writing songs for about 20 years. He comes from West Texas and spent most of his adult life in or around Austin. He has been in the Northwest for the last six years or so, playing mostly in the Columbia Gorge and Portland, where he fronted the band Sparks and Gravel, and played with a variety of other great musicians in and around Hood River, Or. He has just returned to Austin. Scott plays americana acoustic music mostly, influenced primarily by Texas songwriters like Townes, Steve Earl, Lyle, Guy Clark, McMurtry...to name a few.
He is putting a band together and will be starting a recording project this summer, but you can still catch him doing solo shows in the meantime around Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and back to Oregon in August.
